Create a portfolio website.
-Your website must contain a minimum of 3 projects/portfolios, and 2 of them must be projects or portfolios from an Imaging class (photography or video).
-Each of the three projects should have an artist statement.
-Your website should also have a general statement describing your philosophy as an artist.
-You should include a brief bibliography and contact info.
-Your website should be coherently organized.
-Your website should have a sense of personal style while maintaining a professional look.
-Optional information that you may want to include: resume, links to social networking, links to a blog (if you have one), and additional projects or portfolios (not necessarily from imaging classes-- other art classes, design work, commercial photography, etc).

Quick Example: http://christinechin.carbonmade.com/
Krop
http://www.krop.com/
Pro: Contemporary looking templates, links to job opportunities.
Con: Free service has a 10 image limit, more images will cost $10/month. Video only with Pro account.
Tumblr
http://www.tumblr.com
Tumblr
http://www.tumblr.com
Pro: Easy setup, no image limits. Video-friendly.
Con: Tumblr is really a blogging platform, so using it as a portfolio is clunky- especially in trying to sort and group images. Best of the bunch: "Hasaportfolio" theme, which is free but has limited options (unless you alter the html code).
Blog sites as portfolios
Pro: Free. Blogging capabilities might be a benefit. Easy to post videos from Youtube or Vimeo.
Con: Clunky to set up.
